Mimosas are a brunch staple, and while they are delicious just the way they are, let’s be honest, it’s a bit simple and can be kinda boring. But a slight twist can take this drink from good to great in an instant, and we have just that twist, Champagne Ice Cubes! By freezing Champagne in ice molds over night, you wind up with boozy cubes to dunk into your glass of orange juice the next morning, selecting the amount of champagne you want simply by how many ice cubes you add. Its a fun twist on a classic drink!

Champagne Ice Cubes Recipe

Ingredients

  • Champagne or any other sparkling wine
  • orange juice
  • silicon ice trays

Instructions:

Fill a flexible Silicon ice tray with Champagne and freeze for at least 6 hours. Ice cubes will be softer than ice made with water, but should still be firm when frozen. Fill a glass large enough to fit one of your cubes with the amount of OJ you desire and then drop in your preferred amount of champagne cubes. Top the drink with more Champagne.
