A new Applebee’s $1 cocktail has been unveiled. The upcoming drink puts a boozy, berry twist on a summer classic. The spirit of choice? Vodka, of course.

On June 1, 2019, participating Applebee’s restaurants will begin offering $1 Vodka Raspberry Lemonade. The summer sipper is made with vodka, Tropicana Lemonade, and raspberry and lemon juices. It’s served in a 10-ounce mug, and available for the entire month of June.

Applebee’s patrons “always enjoy a refreshing vodka and lemonade cocktail, and we’re delighted to add raspberry to the lineup for the first time,” Patrick Kirk, vice president of beverage innovation at Applebee’s, said in a press release. “The $1 Vodka Raspberry Lemonade is sunshine in a glass and light on your wallet — put that extra money toward your summer vacation.”

Can’t argue with that, Kirk. Also undeniable? The appeal of Applebee’s $1 cocktails.

Previously, the American treasure brought back $1 Margaritas for May, $1 Strawberry Margaritas for April, and $2 Vodka Rainbow Punch in March. As VinePair contributor Eric Shorey wrote that month, “Applebee’s knows us better than we know ourselves … Despite our supposed fixation on high-end artisanal products, millennials couldn’t resist the siren song of kitschy [dollar] drinks.”

It’s not a party if you don’t pair that adult lemonade with Applebee’s new Loaded Fajitas, which the restaurant describes as “smothered with hot queso and sprinkled with crispy Applewood-smoked bacon.” Is it hot in here, or is it just those fajitas?

Phew! Better cool off with a cheap cocktail.
