For Ignacio “Nacho” Jimenez, heritage and a love for Mexico inspires everything he does, whether it’s hosting, DJ-ing, or creating a Signature PATRÓN Cocktail.

Jimenez spent 21 years in Mexico where he was born before moving to New York City. “Being an immigrant,” he says, “it helps you create environments that are similar to the ones you grew up in.” He draws on memories of dancing in the kitchen at a family member’s house, his mom’s record collection, and the fruit stands that lined the street near his child home for inspiration.

Using PATRÓN Silver, the citrus flavors from the simply perfect tequila complement the sweetness of the watermelon utilized in his Watermelon Cooler Cocktail. When combined, the ingredients transport imbibers to the fruit carts Jimenez frequented in his youth.
