Vinum Cellars Monterey Chardonnay 2016 Review

In music, laying in the cut means we are riding this riff all smooth-like and just gonna sit here for a minute and get into it. With alcohol right at the industry average and coming from the warm, breezy climate of Monterey, this wine shows that a screw cap wine can be on level. The acidity goes to work right away pronouncing aromas of peach and tangerine with a dose of fresh-cut lime and earthy guava along with hawthorn and a minty tinge. The palate is calm and creamy with some coconut and sweet wood from oak. Just when the wine seems to overwhelm, the salinity of the wine brings the fun back into focus, laying in the cut, for a solid medium finish.
