Vincent Girardin Pouilly-Fuisse Les Vieilles Vignes 2017 Review
Well damn, this is delicious and focused, with excellent structure. It’s one of those wines you just know is going to be good when you stick your nose in the glass and the opening act of balanced levels of ripe pear and lime, with a tangerine citrus accent, are in exact harmony. The trapeze act continues to the palate as just the right amount acacia enters into an almost perfect marriage with spearmint. It has a creamy mouth feel with a gentle oak tannin grip as jasmine rings hello. The wine is made from 50 year old vines, and with everything in a nice, tight, balanced package, it shows.
