Two Angels Lake County Red Hills Petit Sirah 2015 Review

If you want to get into Petit Sirah (Durif) then the best examples are from north of Napa where this wine comes from in the Red Hills Lake County AVA. Not a lot of Petit Sirah is made these days, but there are some that have it in the right spots to show it’s brooding, yet balanced character. Although this grape is often rough around the edges Two Angels get the wine right with blueberry and olive notes intermingling with subtle floral hints trending towards violet and a classic gripping tannin structure that calls for BBQ and other grilled meats.
