Moschofilero, Viognier
The Williamsburg Winery Wessex Hundred Viognier 2018
Review
It feels like Viognier has found a spiritual home in Virginia. They keep popping up, and keep being awesome. It’s not often we see balance from this grape in the states, but here we are. This wine is only available through the winery’s website though which is a shame. It is balanced and quite aromatic, with notes of orange blossom and apricots with a hint of ginger. The palate is rich and viscous (almost chewy) with great acidity making it a great sunset-with-close-friends-and-conversation wine.
