This wine is made from one grape, Chardonnay, but sourced from six vineyards. Those six different soils and vines result in one very complex Franciacorta. It opens with sea spray and slight hints of candied pear; as the soft bubbles subside and settle into the glass, savory notes of fresh white peppercorns and aloe waft up from the depths as the oxygen takes hold of the wine. All the aromas are held in harmony by the perlage. There is a lot here for only one grape.
