This a lean wine for how high the alcohol is. The nose leads with cherries, rose petals and petrol which dominates the wine, along with the heat from the alcohol. The blend is not very apparent, as all aromas converge in a homogeneous package. It is not the most representative wine of this famed region but does the job for social gatherings where wine is not the focus.
