The structure of this wine defines what the 80’s were all about in this region (Rutherford specifically) with rich dark blackberry and cherry fruit and soft, deep vanilla notes coming from the core of the wine. But this wine also stands out a bit from that decade and gives us some spice notes that are not often found.
