Review
It's a bit confusing why a white made this close to the pacific would go big, old school Cali style Chardonnay, but they did. Big and filled with the full impact of oak, notes of roasted oats and the sweet side of acacia, the one good thing about this wine is that it is somehow only 13.5% alcohol, a full percentage lower than the California Chardonnays made in this same style. But the oak is so intense it fights and wins, overwhelming the other aromas as the wine opens. If you are a fan of big-wood chardonnay but don’t want all the heat in your brain, this is your wine.
