Surly Brewing Kitsch Hoppy Lager
Review
With Kitsch, Surly nails the hop lover's lager. Pouring a pale straw color with a lacy white head, this bold lager brewed with Warrior hops and dry-hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and Centennial is a well-done mashup of West and East Coast hop style, challenging citrus-forward fruit aromas, namely grapefruit and tangerine, with bold bitterness on the finish. Drinking lighter than its 6.1 percent ABV, this dangerously thirst-quenching brew is one to reach for on sunny days, or even rainy ones. Its bitter finish will please both session IPA and German pilsner devotees.
