Inspired by the Cucumber Blessings Ceremony held by Buddhist priests to help villagers endure hot summers, Mill House's cucumber-dosed cream ale is refreshment at its best. (That said, it's perhaps best avoided by those averse to cucumbers.) This beer pours a clear, bright golden color with crisp carbonation. The nose is straight cucumber juice, with a whisper of lemony citrus. As for the finish, it hints at herbal bitterness before settling in, again, to sweet cucumber. Have your salad and drink it, too.
