Bouchard Finlayson ‘Galpin Peak’ Pinot Noir 2012 Review

Made by a pioneering Walker Bay winery, this is one of the most interesting South African Pinot Noirs around. Almost Burgundian in nature, it’s difficult to concentrate on just one flavor or aroma as they jump around the senses. A lively nose of tart red berries, wildflowers, cured meats, and cut cigar give way to a ripe but spicy palate, bright acidity cutting through sweet cherry flavors.
