Markham Vineyards Napa Valley Merlot 2014 Review

Markham has been doing Merlot since Luke found out who his father was (1980) and I am sure Miles would actually like some of their single vineyard selections. Right out of the bottle the wine is a bit shy with cherry and plum notes mixing with black pepper but very quickly a little bit of cassis presents itself to fill in the gaps. This wine is a treat, because you can have a legacy winemaker on your table for $20 and enjoy the fruit of their three estates combined.
