Marchesi de Frescobaldi Tenuta Perano Chianti Classico DOCG 2015 Review

In the classico region, the Gaiole township is known for fuller bodied wines from the the Sangiovese grape and other permitted varieties, making it a great option to pair with heavier meat dishes and pastas. Frescobaldi has been making wine for seven centuries, so they have it down pat, as well as owning some great land under vine across Tuscany. This, their Gaiole Classico offering, is true to form, with a deep full body and notes of blackberry, sour cherry and graphite on the nose which translates on the palate complimented by a hint of vanilla and crushed walnuts. This is a crowd-pleaser so definitely give it a go at your next Italian dinner party.
