What makes this wine interesting is the vineyards where the grapes come from are on the edge of the Sonoma coast, taking in all the pacific breeze as well as benefiting from elevation. The result is an expressive chardonnay unique to others nearby. The nose leads with notes of peach and apricot along with some lemon and tangerine. As the wine breathes in the glass kiwi and mint waft up under a layer of acacia and a skosh of dried coconut. All these aromas can exist in harmony because of the bracing acidity from the coastal influences, as well restraint in the oak department, which imparts a whisper of hazelnut.
