Felsina Beradegna Chianti Classico DOCG 2016
Review
Coming from the southern reaches of the Chianti Classico region where the air is dry and the hills are low, Felsina has been working this land and making wine since the 60’s and do not blend with French varieties. They are all about the Sangiovese grape, and hell yes for that. Medium to full bodied, this wine is sleepy upon opening the bottle, with notes of forest floor and typical cherry fruit. With a swirl in the glass it blossoms with blackberry fruit, complimenting the cherry and earth tones along with cracked black pepper. For just over $20 it’s hard to find a Chianti Classico this delicious and true to form.
