Elvi Wines 'Herenza' Rioja 2014 Review
This young, juicy kosher wine strikes all sorts of balance - between fruit and earth, sour and sweet, complexity and drinkability. Though it’s unpretentious enough to picture in a carafe at a Spanish bistro, there’s a lot going on here: tart red and black cherries, rustic, dusty earth, and subtle but present spice. Super affordable for the quality, it’s the medium-bodied Chianti alternative to keep on hand for weeknight dinners.
