Coronado Set West West Coast IPA
Review
This IPA's clarity and head retention make me nostalgic – both are qualities you don't see in many IPAs these days (thanks to the haze craze). A layered aroma with first biscuit, toast, and freshly baked bread is followed by fresh-squeezed orange juice. It's dry on the palate with a lingering bitterness that's pleasing, not weighty and intense like some West Coast IPAs. This is exactly what a West Coast IPA should taste like. And, it might be the best West Coast breakfast beer we've tasted all year.
