It says Merlot but it’s not 2015 Review

The alcohol is too high and the structure reminds of a wine made from heftier grapes; which it is. It’s always disappointing when the 75% blending rule is used to completely take away from the variety on the label. It says Merlot on the label but this is NOT a Merlot, it’s a blend. As a blend it’s just fine and will do well for house parties or art openings, even a backyard BBQ. The wine hits you with heat from the alcohol first, which then gives way to vanilla and dark berry fruit notes. As a Merlot it is a failure; as a blend to sip while getting lost in the crowd it works.
