It’s nice that this wine is a great representation of the Radda zone of Classico and under $20. It can really give you a sense of how wines are unique here. Radda wine tends to be higher toned than other areas in Classico with a bit more structure and elegance, which is what we are getting here. Signature floral notes along with cherry and earthy fresh soil aromas take center stage but are perceived among a bright saline acidity that gives the wine a lift on the palate, exposing some welcome herbaceous tones that carry to the finish. The tannins are well integrated but showing themselves just enough as to not be overwhelming. This wine will age a few more years but is doing great now.
