Boundary Breaks Vineyard Harmonic Red 2016
Review
The Finger Lakes has been up and coming for years now and if you're wondering what all the hype is about, this bottle is a great place to start. It is not easy getting reds right in this region, due to the extreme weather, so when it is done right, so right, it is undeniable. Bruce Murray, Diana Lyttle and crew on the banks of Seneca have made a wonderful Bordeaux style blend that is true New York Terroir. With only 12.5% alcohol the wine is clear about its characteristics of sour cherry and a dusting of forest floor (like a big inhale in the middle of a forest in October) with well blended hints of vanilla and balsamic. This wine is a treat, truly harmonic, and you deserve to experience how it should be done in this exciting region.
