Bouchard Pere & Fils 'Beaune du Chateau' Beaune Premier Cru Rouge 2015 Review

This wine seems to still be shedding some of it’s young tannins at four years old. There are some bright cherry and strawberry notes, along with a slight hint of cola on the nose, that are welcoming. On the palate these aromas carry over but fight for attention, being blocked in on all sides by tannin. Maybe some more aging is required and here’s hoping that grumpy astringency chills out a bit.
