Anaba Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2016 Review

This wine defines the cherry aroma that is often perceived in Pinot Noir. Vibrant and bouncing-around-the-room bing cherry aromas lead the nose of this wine, supported by lively acidity as a bright red umbrella over more subtle hints of vanilla and toasted coconut. On the palate the wine is soft and chewy with great balance, due to restraint of the alcohol, with added aromas of cranberry and a whisper of clove. The winery is named after the winds that blow through Carneros, one of the cooler climates of Napa, which cools the grapes. Makes sense to me!
