The Story Behind The Spicy Watermelon Margarita

Now that watermelons are in full season, I just can’t get enough of their sweet, refreshing crunch. In fact, I've taken to incorporating watermelon into some great cocktails. As I’m sure you all know, watermelon is especially juicy, so getting the juice out of one of these is no trouble at all. I tend to just put all of a cut-up watermelon (without the rind) in the blender. If you look through my recipes, you should notice that I like to make things spicy whenever possible, and watermelon goes perfectly with some spice. In this concoction, I chopped up some jalapeño and shook it in with the tequila, lime juice, agave syrup and watermelon juice. The combination is delightful and the kick from the jalapeño really takes this cocktail to the next level. Don’t take my word for it though. Get shaking!
