The season of treating yourself (and others) is upon us. If you’ve been considering booking that vacation to Mexico, or scheduling a luxurious massage, you can now do it all in one — plus tequila.

The Grand Velas Los Cabos SE Spa is now offering a “Four-Hand Tequila and Nopal Massage,” an experience that takes you from pre-treatment ceremony to tequila rubdown to pool snacks in 80 minutes.

The two-therapist treatment (hence the four hands) starts with an “energy purification ritual,” calling forth the four elements — earth, air, fire, and water — which are represented by sage (earth), a feather (air), and a floating candle (fire and water). Next, one massage therapist releases muscle tension using an ancient technique involving a Mexican shawl, while the other seals the deal with the tequila rub.

Unlike a night of drinking tequila, the agave tincture is said to harness the natural powers of the Blue Agave plant, believed to have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.

According to a press release, the experience also includes a “seven-step water journey” involving a eucalyptus-scented steam room with chromotherapy; polar pool; aromatherapy sensory shower; sauna; jacuzzi; and multi-sensory pool. While you’re enjoying the pool, a spa valet will bring shots of tea — and snacks — so you won’t have a move a tequila-massaged muscle.

This sounds pretty amazing, but the massage will set you back $399. Those able to indulge might consider booking a room ($582 per person, per night to start) to get the ultimate experience. Let us know how it is!
