Pumpkin beers are all the rage this time of year — literally, for some of us — but that doesn’t stop companies from coming out with some creative concoctions. Joining the pumpkin beer craze this week is…IHOP, with its soon-to-debut pumpkin stout, IHOPS.

Get it?

IHOP worked with Keegan Ales of Kingston, N.Y. to make Pumpkin Pancake Stout, a one-of-a-kind pumpkin beer inspired by the chain’s pumpkin pancakes, and made with actual IHOP buttermilk pancake batter.

Only about 20 barrels were brewed, which will debut on Sept. 29 at the Bacon and Beer Classic beer festival in Flushing, N.Y., followed by appearances at events throughout the city and state. It will not, unfortunately, be sold at any IHOP locations.
