After selling their Casamigos tequila company to Diageo for a reported $1 billion last year, George Clooney and Rande Gerber are adding another product to the Casamigos line: Casamigos mezcal.

The new mezcal will launch April 1 in the U.S., U.K. and Australia, reports Forbes. The celebrity-backed, agave-based spirit will retail for $60 per 750ml bottle.

Clooney and Rande sold Casamigos tequila in 2017 for $700 million plus potential for another $300 million in sales, reports Forbes. According to Gerber, the pals had been approached about doing a mezcal at that time, but were focused on spreading the tequila love. But, Gerber said in an interview, “we stayed in touch with the family that created that mezcal and knew one day it would become part of our Casamigos family.”

Casamigos mezcal is a “joven” mezcal (young), but it takes no shortcuts, writes Forbes: It’s made with 100 percent Espadin agave from Santiago Matatlán in Oaxaca, Mexico; and its flavor is “uncanninly smooth,” with little burn, bitterness or smoky notes, according to the report.

In addition to the new mezcal debuting in April, the Casamigos team confirmed more mezcals to come. Awkward timing, if you ask us. Didn’t anyone tell them about the agave shortage?
