While we’re arguing over whether it’s too early for PSLs and Halloween-themed T-shirts, Scottish distillery Pickering’s Gin is onto the next seasonal creep: Christmas tipples.

The Edinburgh-based brand announced its annual set of “Festively Flavoured Gin Baubles,” and among such flavors as figgy pudding, spiced pear and cinnamon, plum and ginger, cranberry, and clementine, Pickering’s will debut “the world’s first Brussels sprouts gin,” Food & Wine reports.

And we thought clementine was a stretch. “It was an interesting challenge trying to balance the unmistakable flavor of Brussels sprouts to get the taste just right — and the distillery had a very distinct aroma while the gin was being distilled!” Matt Gammell, Pickering’s co-founder and head distiller, said according to The Drinks Business. The brand also said the gin is “unmistakably ‘sprouty.’”

We love Brussels sprouts as much as the next Brussels sprouts lover, but something about miniature cooked cabbage aromas on a shot of gin is not sounding like the scent of Christmas. Then again, each bauble only contains about 50 milliliters of gin, so maybe it is worth a very small shot.

A portion of proceeds for the limited-edition gift packs will go to Contact the Elderly’s Community Christmas Campaign, according to the Pickering’s Gin website.
