Few summer internships allow you to do what you’re probably already planning on doing this summer, drink beer – besides the VinePair internship, that is (we’re hiring, drop us a note if you’re interested!) – let alone pay you $12,000 to do it. But The World of Beer is offering three lucky interns that exact situation.
This summer The World Of Beer, a Tampa, FL based company that operates 70 beer boutique-restaurants in 20 states, is looking for three people to travel the globe and visit breweries, head to beer festivals, drink lots of beer and chronicle the experience. Here’s the exact description from the job posting on their site:
“We’re inviting a team of interns to travel the world, hopping from brewery to brewery, WOB tavern to WOB tavern to explore beer for themselves and share their stories with WOB drinkers across the country.”
Not only are interns being paid for their work, but all travel and expenses are covered as well. That’s a pretty sweet deal — see the globe and drink all the beer it offers, while getting paid. If we didn’t already work at VinePair, we’d probably apply.
The internship is being referred to as the “Drink It Intern,” a play on the company’s slogan of “Drink It In,” and potential candidates can apply simply by filling out WOB’s online application and creating a one-minute video that explains why you’re the perfect person for the job. You can submit that application here. It’s due March 26th.
The only requirement is that you have to be over 21 and love beer. That’s basically the same requirement we have for our internship as well, but it also helps if you love to write. Wine and spirits lovers can apply, too. We promise that our perks are just as good!
